Welcome to Nynäshamn – information to competitors
Welcome to Nynäshamn and the 2019 Nordic and Swedish F18 Championships. Nynäshamn is ranked among Sweden’s foremost sail racing areas. This was also the venue for the sailing events during the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, known as “the sunshine Olympics.” This is also the waters where I grew up and where I prepared for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Djursholms Segelklubb is the official host of the event. We have gathered an experienced racing organization to ensure the best and fairest racing conditions.
The racing is the core of the event, but the onshore program is also our priority. We aspire to offer all sailors an unforgettable memory. Both Friday and Saturday have social programs in the evenings where all competitors are invited.
The logistics is also a great part of the event. Storage will be available for those arriving early or those wanting to pick up theirs boats at a later stage after the event is finished. Please contact me and I will provide you with necessary information.
